44 and Counting

Yesterday I turned 44 and it actually meant something to me. For so many years I would make a list of things I wanted to accomplish in the next year.
I looked over my old lists and have been surprised as to what I have been blessed to accomplish. I have my own home, career office going well, not to mention a wife and 4 kiddos. I will post 45 by 45 in the coming days. I have found that making goals, both serious and fun make life interesting.
The one spoiler on the list will be to work hard with Brandon to make our blog excited and of course fun.
I don’t put the accomplishments as bragging. I assure you I know these are blessings and it didn’t come easy.
In my one sappy post (lol) I encourage all who may read this to simply enjoy what’s in front of you. If you don’t you will miss out on the beauty of life.
until next time….

  1. Well said my friend. I’ve always enjoyed your birthday lists and have always been amazed at how many of your goals you’ve been able to accomplish. I’ll never forget your list where you mentioned buying a house and it seemed like that was years away, but you ended up doing it! It was exciting!

  2. I’m not a fan of the term bucket list, because of the movie. Before I turned 40 in 2019 I made list of stuff that I want to accomplish and I stressed about not getting those things done instead of looking at all the things that I did do.
I am working on a new “Doing it” list because it is nice to have things to look forward to.
